They offer a helpline, open all year round, 24 hours, offering a wide range of advice and guidance to help through the asylum process. The British Red Cross is the largest independent organisation in the UK providing services for asylum seekers and refugees. They offer multiple services to assist those in the asylum process, including casework, one to one support, help to reunite families in the UK and special services for children and families.

The British Red Cross offers a helpline for anyone in the UK. They can provide support in 200 languages, just ask “can I speak to a translator?”. The helpline is open 10:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, 10:00 - 20:00 on Wednesday. 

Local groups are key to the establishment and running of the British Red Cross. The area of Sussex has its own Red Cross local organisation that provides refugees, asylum seekers and migrants service.

The Refugee Council is a UK based organisation supporting refugees and asylum seekers. Offering practical support and advice for men, women and separated children. They also offer a freephone infoline that can connect you with relevant information and services to avoid or reduce crisis. This line is open Monday and Thursday between 9:30 - 12:30.
