           <description>Hate crime is any criminal offence which is perceived by the victim or any other person, to be motivated by hostility or prejudice based on a person&#039;s race or perceived race, religion or perceived religion, sexual orientation or perceived sexual orientation, disability or perceived disability and any crime motivated by hostility or prejudice against someone who is transgender or perceived to be transgender. If you have been a victim of hate crime or have witnessed a hate crime, please report it. All Sussex councils takes hate incidents seriously and there are multiple ways to report them: If it is an emergency, then call the police on 999. If it is not an emergency and you want to report it then please call the police on 101.
